Encounter with Pure Evil

“You are very careless Arvind!”
“I apologize. I’ll make the changes right away and let you know once done.” I replied.

It was one of my eminent careless mistakes, which now needs to be rectified. I sat down and contemplated why I had made the slip-up and the reason for my negligence; I went into the depths of my mind and replayed how I did the report and suddenly, nature called. I sent it a busy tone and once again I replayed how I went about the report When nature called once again. I felt the call to be urgent in nature.

The analysis continued in the restroom when something caught my eye; there was an insect atop the urinal. I looked at the insect more closely and then I froze.

It was not just any insect, the long folded wings, the six hairy legs, the triangular head and the two rather long antennae. It’s whole body shimmering in the color of blood. It brought back hideous nightmares about the time I saw it take to the sky. There it was, scurrying around sending chills down my spine…

The Cockroach.

There I stood, entrenched to the spot unable to move or zip up. It had caught me off-guard and completely exposed. The roach was now growing in size, I could make out its most minuscule details. The red legs moving around, the powerful folded wings and its antennae moving up and down eerily making me relive the past encounters.

The sight of its red and black abdomen, when it took to the air (I was in the third standard at that time.)

When I flattened it with my foot, its legs were still moving, tickling me from beneath.

When I relived the second memory, my body gave an instinctive jolt and (some drops of my own piss landed on my shoes.) I hurriedly zipped up. A stab of pain reminded me that I had forgotten something very important to do. I screamed in pain. Scaring others, who were blissfully pissing their stress away.

May no one experience this pain (except for my enemies?)

I washed up, cursing myself “Careless Arvind! Careless!”
